STARTING THE NEW YEAR WITH A STRANGER. It's spring, which for me began on New Year's Eve. Let's start with the fact that my name is Inga, and I am passionate about literature, cinema, and photography. After three serious relationships, I was a single woman for the whole of 2024, and I enjoyed it very much until, as the end of the year approached, I felt that I was finally ready to meet someone again. At that very moment, I found out about the first Singles Only event in Angars. On New Year's Eve. Why not?

After all, meeting someone in person in the 21st century is exclusive and exciting. Although I had a few other ideas for where to celebrate New Year's Eve, I decided to challenge myself and fate and go party with strangers. I was very tempted by the idea of a new beginning at the turn of the year. I took a friend with me who was also single. AIVAR's story

It was very spontaneous. While scrolling through Instagram, I saw a Valentine's Day "Singles Only" party. I immediately bought a ticket because this event seemed to be exactly what I needed, as it appears that Tinder, after several Tinder dates, is not working for me. My expectations for this event were to find an environment where there were people with similar goals. For me, that was to find a potential partner.

I met several women at the event, but towards the end, I asked a woman who particularly caught my eye to dance, and we danced several dances together.

KRISTIANA'S story

I attended the first Singles Only New Year's Eve party. I didn't go to any others because I met Him... I didn't think long about whether to go or not because when I saw this event, I realized that I wouldn't have to rack my brains about where to see in the New Year. I went to the event without any expectations and had already decided that I would give myself some time without a relationship, but welcoming the New Year by dancing didn't seem like a bad idea.

We met by chance on the dance floor just before midnight. We clinked glasses together at the turn of the year, danced, and then talked. I quickly got the feeling that we had so much in common! ZANE's story

My name is Zane, and I work in an office every day. I heard about the New Year's event from friends, and since I didn't have any special plans, I decided to give it a try. At that time, I was single and had already given up hope, because dating apps didn't work for me, and it seemed that I would never meet anyone in real life.

So, my friend and I got dressed up and went to the party. At first, I felt nervous because I had decided to spend New Year's Eve with complete strangers, but as they say - nothing risked, nothing gained. When I walked through the door, I was surprised by how many beautiful and intelligent people were in the room. I wondered where they all were the rest of the year.

As time went by, and especially when the icebreakers started, people loosened up. I had decided to be open and challenged myself to meet at least five new people. There were plenty of opportunities to do so—as I understood from the host, there were more than 200 people in total.
